Trekking Cirque Jaffar
The most popular excursion takes you to Cirque Jaffar, located 25 km southwest of Midelt. The road winds through the foothills of Jebel Ayachi (3,737 m), the highest mountain in the eastern High Atlas. Along the way, you will get some glimpses of traditional Berber villages and admire wild mountain landscapes and spectacular views.

Our afternoon hike in the Berber villages of Midelt was like stepping back in time. It’s beautiful the things that can happen on your travels when you slow down and take the time to appreciate the simple things in life. I can’t imagine living my life as simply as the Berber people, but it is nice to have the chance to experience this part of the world on our travels.
